Silver Clay Charms
Silver Clay Charms
with The Temerity
$150
Experience the alchemy of silver clay!
In this class, we will explore the quixotic medium of silver clay to create custom charms + jewelry. Silver clay behaves similarly to earthen clay, and can be shaped and molded by hand or pressed into molds. In this class, we will start with an overview of creating silicone molds, using stamps or botanical prints, so that students can make multiples or matchings sets. Students are welcome to use hand forming techniques as well, to create unique pieces! Once our creations are dried, they will be torch fired, revealing the pure .999 silver within.
The second portion of the class will focus on polishing, filing, and placing jump rings. Students will have the chance to learn to solder, use a variety of jewelry making tools, and create a small collection of pure silver charms. Sterling silver findings will be provided.
Each student will recieve 5 grams of clay with their workshop fee. Additional clay can be purchased in the studio for $5/gram.

Marbled Leather Coasters
Marbled Leather Coasters
with The Temerity
$98
This workshop will introduce students to the wonder of marbling, an amazing, spontaneous art form that creates beautiful one-of-a-kind surfaces.. We will use a traditional method of marbling in a thickened water bath, and will have the opportunity to make a few practice prints as we get the hang of the process. Then, we will marble and assemble a set of leather coasters, which we will hand finish for a beautiful artisanal effect. These eye-catching coasters will be a welcome addition to any cocktail party or summer barbeque, and you'll be able to apply your new marbling skills to a number of other surfaces - you'll be hooked!
