This workshop is a chance for people to get to know the basic concepts of drawing from observation, such as light and shadow, perspective, and form.  Working from this foundation, we will build up to drawing from a live model during the last two classes.  Through learning the basics and attaining a drawing practice, we will transform this potentially intimidating subject to a simple and fun practice that can be enjoyed by artists at all levels. 

The last two workshops with the live models will be open to drop ins, space permitting.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class.

  • You may cancel for a refund up to 21 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable.

  • We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 4 sign ups. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund.

  • Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive.

  • If you are sick, please stay home. Call or email to let us know that you are not coming.

  • Last minute cancellations are extremely challenging for our guest teachers. Often times, materials have been purchased and meticulously prepared ahead of time. Keep in mind that late cancellations are a financial burden on these very special artists.

Jeremy is a character designer, illustrator, avid sketcher, and Highland Park resident! He attended ArtCenter Collge of Design 2018-2022, and since then he has been teaching academic drawing, doing freelance Illustration, and participating in Rick and Morty's character design trainee program.
