Sewing Level II: Sport Shorts

Time to show off those gams with a pair of hand made sport shorts!  

In this two part workshop, we will learn to cut patterns, identify grainline and cut fabric, work with bias binding, sew pockets, elastic, and button holes.  We will be working with both a straight stitch machine and a serger. These sport shorts really have it all! 

Please read the following instructions closely:

We are thrilled to be working with a pattern from Friday Pattern Company.  In order to enroll in this class, we ask that each student purchase the pattern for these shorts.

Once you have downloaded the pattern, please take a look at the size guide that you will find on Page 6 of the Instructions PDF.  Then you can indicate which size you would like to cut for this class during the enrollment process! 

Little Green will be printing the patterns for each student ahead of time in your size on large scale paper (no taping required!!) so everything will be ready to cut at the start of class.  

We are trying a new fabric selection process for this class! We have color combo options to choose from!  There is limited fabric in each color, so everyone will have a unique pair of shorts.  Please select your top three choices during check out, and fabrics will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.

Experience required: Intro to Sewing or similar.

Our Policies:

• Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class.

• You may cancel for a refund up to 21 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable.

• We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 3 sign ups. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund.

• Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive.

• If you are sick, please stay home. Call or email to let us know that you are not coming.

• Last minute cancellations are extremely challenging for our guest teachers. Often times, materials have been meticulously prepared ahead of time. Keep in mind that late cancellations are a financial burden on these very special artists.
