Modern Stained Glass Workshop

Brewer & Marr Glassworks

SOLD OUT - But we do have two more stained glass classes on the calendar! Modern Stained Glass Holiday Ornaments - December 9th, 10am-1pm or 2:30pm-5:30pm.

In this introductory workshop, no previous experience with the craft is required. Chelsea of Brewer & Marr Glassworks will guide you through the entire stained glass assembly process. You’ll be making an abstract sun catcher of your own design, constructed of geometric pieces of glass. You’ll learn the basics - and mindful practice - of the copper foiled stained glass method and walk away feeling empowered with the knowledge & appreciation of the stained glass craft- and your very own modern art piece - hand made by you!

Supplies and materials are included in the class fee.

The workshop is equipped with:
- Your choice of up to 5 pieces of colorful glass.
- Brewer & Marr canvas bag to safely stash and carry your finished piece.
- All supplies and materials required for assembly.
- Instruction on how to handle each material, safely.
- Choice of finish: Silver, Copper, or Black Patina.

PLEASE NOTE:
Be prepared to get your hands dirty! Working with stained glass is a lot of fun, risky at times, but a perfectly safe craft to practice when proper safety measures are followed. We will be handling sharp objects, HOT irons to liquify solder containing different alloy metals (including small amounts of lead), as well as various chemicals. Splatter and spills happen! For your protection aprons, oven mitts, latex gloves, goggles, respirators, & first aid kit in case of emergency is provided. Due to the nature of the craft, expecting mothers are advised to participate at their own risk.

MUST BE 18+ YEARS OLD TO PARTICIPATE:
This workshop is best suited for persons 18 and up.

DISCLAIMER:
Participation is at the risk of the workshop attendee. Little Green Art Studio and Brewer & Marr Glassworks will not be held responsible for any injury, loss or damage to person and/or property that may be sustained as a result of participation in the above event.
